Tijuana Trouble: Mexicans Say Trump is Correct, “Migrants” are an Invasion…

The United States has a real opportunity here for a big win.

If we are successful in keeping the invading criminal army from setting one foot on U.S. soil, Mexico will soon tire of them and bus them back where they belong. And, our Southern neighbor will get off their butts and prevent any future “caravans,” as the realization hits that they’ll be stuck with them if they allow them force their way into Mexico again.

Stand firm, President Trump!

Already, the residents of Tijuana have had enough:

On Sunday, displeased Tijuana residents waved Mexican flags, sang the Mexican national anthem and chanted “Out! Out!” in front of a statue of the Aztec ruler Cuauhtemoc, 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) from the U.S. border. They accused the migrants of being messy, ungrateful and a danger to Tijuana.

They also complained about how the caravan forced its way into Mexico, calling it an “invasion.” And they voiced worries that their taxes might be spent to care for the group.

“We don’t want them in Tijuana,” protesters shouted.

Juana Rodriguez, a housewife, said the government needs to conduct background checks on the migrants to make sure they don’t have criminal records.

A woman who gave her name as Paloma lambasted the migrants, who she said came to Mexico in search of handouts. “Let their government take care of them,” she told video reporters covering the protest.

One Mexican protestor today in Tijuana spoke about the caravan: “Donald Trump was right, this is an invasion! What Donald Trump said was correct: this is an invasion!”

Crowds chanted: “Get out Hondurans, we do not want you here. Get out Hondurans, we do not want you here.”

One of the invading horde had a different take on the situation…“What are these Mexicans going to do when 30,000 Hondurans arrive? We will kill all the Mexicans.”

It seems some Mexicans don’t care for third-world criminals running roughshod over their nation, and their laws. It’s a shame that Democrats don’t have the same love for their own country…

Hundreds of angry residents took to the streets of downtown Tijuana on Sunday to protest the caravan of Central American migrants that has been streaming into the city in recent weeks.

Carrying Mexican flags and singing the national anthem, the demonstrators marched to a sports complex where about 2,000 of the migrants are being housed. There, held back by a wall of riot police, they denounced the mostly Honduran migrants as “criminals” and “freeloaders” who were openly flouting Mexican law.

“This is an invasion!” shouted local carpenter Luis Alexis Mendoza, according to the Los Angeles Times. “We demand respect. We demand that our laws be followed.”

Sunday’s anti-caravan march reflected simmering tensions in Tijuana, a sprawling border city of about 1.6 million, over the arrival of the latest Central American caravan. While the city has long been a waypoint for migrants of all stripes heading to the U.S., it has not had to deal with the presence of thousands of homeless Central Americans who are waiting indefinitely to apply for asylum at the ports of entry.

Some Tijuana officials, concerned about the city’s ability to accommodate thousands of newcomers, have called on the Mexican federal government to stop or divert migrants who are en route to the city.
