“I Had My Pistol…Thank GOD For That”…

The article uses the word “teens” to describe the four punks.

Surely by now you know what it means when “media” uses the word “teens”…

HOUSTON – A homeowner and Marine fought back after four teenagers tried to rob him at gunpoint, deputies said.

The four males walked up to the home in the 1800 block of Remington Springs Drive in northeast Harris County around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, deputies said. The homeowner was standing in the driveway with his garage door open when the teens ambushed him and held him at gunpoint, deputies said.

“One came alongside, through here, and next thing I knew I had a gun to the back of my head,” homeowner Alexander Borrego said. “They told me to get up, so, I stood up. My garage door was open so, my main concern was my family at that point.”

His wife and children were inside the house.

“I had my pistol in the front pouch of my hoodie,” Borrego said.

He said he did what he had to do.

“As soon as I got my hand on my pistol I turned towards the guy that had the gun at the back of my head. I immediately removed the pistol away from my head as I began firing at those guys,” Borrego said.

According to deputies, Borrego shot the boy twice, once in the chest and again in the leg.

The four boys ran from the retired Marine’s house to the home of the teen who was injured. His mother took him to a hospital, investigators said. He is expected to survive.

The homeowner was not injured.

“Sad, but I had my pistol on me and thank God for that,” Borrego said.

His wife took to social media also thanking God for Borrego’s quick thinking.

““You hear about stuff like this all the time, but never think it would happen to you. This could have ended terrible for my family and I, but I thank God, everyone watching over us and Alexander Borrego for stopping them from coming inside. I am so proud of you babe. #MyHero,” she wrote.

Borrego is not expected to face charges.
